My son doesn’t like to wear a wrist watch, so when I bought this for his college graduation, I wasn’t sure if he’d like it. That’s why I didn’t want to spend a ton of money on it. But, this watch is very nice for the money. It looks a lot more expensive than it was. It works well. It comes in a nice little case. And my son loved it.

I brought this pocket watch for my Dad, for Father’s Day and he just loves it.

I have owned this watch for a few years now and have had zero trouble with it. I would recommend this fine piece to anyone who likes pocket watches at a nice price. Fifty dollars is enough to spend on a watch of any kind in my opinion and this one looks great and works even better.
First the good. The case is pretty good for the money and my son likes the picture.

Now the bad. The first one we received was either broken or had a bad battery. So we returned and got another. The second ran for about a day and stopped working. Against my better judgement, I’m going to go buy a new battery cause my son really wants to keep it. If the new battery doesn’t solve it, I’m going to return it for good.

Another issue is the weak chain loop. The clip was so tight on his pants lip that the loop pulled apart rather easily when he went to remove it. In addition, the watch alignment is not standard for a pocket watch. 3:00 should be at the thumb button allowing you to hold it one handed and pop the cover and read it with the cover open to the left. This watch has the cover at 6:00 and the thumb button at 12:00, which is awkward.

All in all, if it didn’t ship with dead batteries (and possibly flat out broken) I’d say its not bad for the money. Combined with the other negatives, I’d say look for a different pocket watch. This is nothing more than a novelty. Shipping watches with dead batteries is really amateur.
