The pocketwatch looks great and keeps time well. The chain is a good length and hooks onto any pants or shorts. Shipping was fast and free. Highly recomended.

The picture does not do this watch justice. I am very pleased with my purchase. This is a high-quality item for the price. In addition, I’ve had time to tell whether or not the watch keeps proper time–it does.

As other reviews have stated, it’s a solid pocket watch, but nothing too out of the ordinary. I’m used to pocket watches where the ‘12′ is where the ‘9′ is so I can open it sideways with my forefinger and thumb or with just my palm. It feels odd for me to have to cock wrist and open it with my thumb from the top, but this is likely a personal issue.

I was unhappy to find that the ‘exposed gears’ aren’t really exposed gears at all. They’re just gear shapes pasted onto the watch face and do not move or do anything at all. At close inspection, you can see some are just cut out pieces of plastic/metal. So yes, at a distance, it looks very nice, like a much more expensive watch, but that’s it - it’s just the look.
